MSR Hyperflow Microfilter: Serious Filter for the Minimalist Angler
For those who travel and fish in groups of two to three people where space and weight is at a premium, this water filter is the ticket. I’ve used it for minimal backpacking to my favorite high mountain lakes. The entire package weighs less than half a pound, the ergonomic shape (seven inches) lets you shove it anywhere in your pack, and it’s pretty darn fast at pumping water. MSR claims 3 liters a minute, which equals 20 pumps per liter. Another bonus is that it needs no tools to fix in the field should it become clogged. This filter is for anyone who needs a serious pre-filter to block sediment-laden waters and where weight is an issue. MSRP is $99.95
