The Trout Series has been Allen Fly Fishing’s most popular reel since its introduction in 2009. And for good reason: it’s fully machined from high-grade bar stock aluminum and superior dependability at a very low price point.
The Trout Series has received a facelift for the 2012 season. The new reels offer the same quality machined frame and spool as before, but with an upgraded drag system inspired by our Alpha II series. Tight tolerance machining has helped Allen achieve a butter-smooth retrieve. The cosmetics have been improved and there’s a new assortment of colors to choose from along with a more ergonomic spool handle.
