RIO’s New MaxCast Technology
RIO’s newest technology, MaxCast, utilizes many different materials for slickness, water repellency, and high floatation. The key to its success (in chemistry terms), says John Harder, R&D Manager, is hydrophobicity; or, fear of the water. MaxCast technology makes it possible to reduce the size of the meniscus of the line, making it easier to pick up off surface water, as well as reducing friction on the guides, making for more efficient and effortless casts, and is now available on product lines RIO Gold, RIO Grand, and Trout LT.
