REC Components to Manufacture Wheatley Products

With acquisition of manufacturing assets complete, REC Components has announced that, moving forward, all Richard Wheatley Limited products will be made in their Stafford Springs, CT facility. Made in England since 1860, Wheatley products have a time-honored reputation, and “REC is honored to assume responsibility for the manufacture and global sales of the entire Richard Wheatley, Ltd. product line,” says REC, President Alan Gnann.

REC Responsible for Global Sales and Manufacturing of all RWL Products

For Immediate Release   Stafford Springs, CT     January 21, 2013

REC Components and Richard Wheatley Limited are pleased to announce the successful transfer of all RWL manufacturing assets to REC’s facility in the United States.   Prior to this, the manufacturing of all RWL products had been done in England since 1860.  Since April 2012, the entire range of RWL aluminum fly boxes has been made in REC’s Connecticut factory while maintaining the highest quality standards.

All manufacturing assets located at RWL’s Malvern, UK facility were acquired by REC, moved during the first quarter of 2012, and permanently established at REC’s Stafford Springs, CT facility.  Prior to this, several key REC staff spent weeks at Malvern in training to ensure that the hand made, heirloom quality of the RWL product range would be maintained.

Effective immediately, in addition to being responsible for manufacturing and North American sales, REC will handle Global sales for the entire RWL product range.  All RWL products are currently in stock and available for immediate shipment.
