E. Donnall Thomas Sr. Passes

Dr. E. Donnall Thomas, father of fly fishing author and columnist E. Donnall Thomas Jr., passed away Saturday in Seattle, Washington.  Dr. Thomas was a pioneer in bone marrow transplant research and earned the 1990 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
