Will “King’s Crown” Rights Prevent Virginia River Access?

A special report by author Beau Beasley highlights the issues surrounding a new court case that pits a private landowner on Virginia’s Jackson River against anglers who believed they were following the state’s own rules on access.  It’s a situation that involves pre-Colonial  land grants and the state’s own apparent unwillingness to get involved, despite the chance that the case could set a precedent for access rights on many Virginia rivers.
