Texas: Time to End Skinny-Water Power Boating
As a long-time advocate of rules that would stop power boats from operating at high speeds in delicate shallow water habitat, all I can say about Texas’s call for action against those who run boats on “wet grass” is, It’s about time.
“Guides say they don’t participate in that kind of tactic, but because it’s illegal, it’s doubtful they would fess up anyway. The truth is, the pressure on fishermen here in this area is pretty strong. Everyone is looking for an advantage.” Art Chapman reports in the Star-Telegram.
