How to Tie the Daily Fly
Producer: Fly Fish Food
George Zumberge guides on South Fork of the Snake for The Lodge at Palisades Creek in Irwin, Idaho. One of his go-to patterns is his Daily Fly, so called because he uses it every day he’s on the water—usually as part of a dry-dropper set up. In this fly-tying tutorial, Cheech from Fly Fish Food walks you through the steps to create this simple nymph, and he even screws up a couple times. Not only does this remind us that even the pros sometimes struggle at the vise, but it’s also a chance for Cheech to demonstrate how he deals with such problems.
