Cutthroat Fun: Tactics for Peak Summer Pressure
“Fly fishing for cutthroat trout in the open waters of the high country. Except 2020 wasn’t all that “open”. It was a busy summer with people crawling over the back country. This video shares our expedition to the back country – pushed an hour bike ride up valley to find space and a bit of water to fish, only to be fishing follow up and jumped by people on horses and herds of cows. The second half of this video shares how we opted to change our focus on this busy day and simply find what we love – one cutthroat trout at a time. A tough day of pressured cutthroat trout turned into a gorgeous day of rising cutthroat trout.”
