“It’s not hard to wake up at 4:30 am to go fishing, especially in a place as scenic as the Blue River. With only hints of a trail in, getting here requires scrambling up and down steeps dotted with loose rocks and braving a few slick-bottom river crossings. This was my first time here and hauling in two bags of camera and fishing gear was a bit ambitious, but the views alone made it all worth it. Watching Willis and Sean hook into some healthy pre-spawn browns was the icing on the cake. There’s nothing quite like fall fishing in Colorado.”
