Catch Big Smallies on Flies in Winter

I know very few folks who actively fish for bass during the dead of winter. Other fish – trout in rivers, panfish through the ice – are easier targets during the year’s coldest months.

But one guide in Michigan catches some of his best smallmouth bass while throwing streamers in winter.
