Remembering Lefty Kreh
Legendary angler, Lefty Kreh, has passed away at the age of 93. Kreh was a pioneer of saltwater fishing, reinvented fly casting, and designed one of the most well-known flies of all time: Lefty’s Deceiver. There are many great tributes and profiles being written, including by Gary Reich on Angler’s Journal and John Randolph on Fly Fisherman. “If nobility has a face,” writes Randolph, “it was Lefty Kreh. He gave the ancient values of fly fishing new and enduring meaning. He was the most influential sport fisherman in the last half of the 20th century.”
