Ross Reels to Stay in Montrose
Montrose, CO has agreed a deal to keep Ross Reels in the city for the next five years. The deal will will pay 3M, Ross Reel’s parent, $20,000 annually over the next two years, while the county will provide $25,000 for one year. Those amounts will be used to market both Ross Reels and Montrose around the country.
“When 3M/Ross Reels is promoting across the nation, they will tie in Montrose,” City Manager Bill Bell said. “We’re trying to make Montrose a Mecca for fly fishing.”
