Louis Cahill, one of the preeminent photographers in the fly fishing world, recently began showing off his prose when he and partner Kent Klewein launched their blog Gink & Gasoline. Cahill shares his gratitude—as a fisherman and writer—toward Gierach in a piece centered around a trip on Gierach’s homewaters: the Saint Vrain. Much like the author himself, the stream, home to modestly sized wild trout, is unassuming.
