“Nymphing Rainbow Trout in Ultra-Low & Gin-Clear Water of Pre-Runoff”
“If you watch nothing else in this video, scroll to 16:20 as the that run offers exceptional aerial visuals of fly fishing a fantastic run. Low, clear, cold water is extremely difficult to get your double-nymph rig in to present to trout. In this episode we fly fish a double nymph (tandem nymph) setup and focus our efforts on shallower riffles and shelves where we find willing rainbow trout nosed into choppy water, which allows us to deliver our flies without spooking the rainbow trout.”
