How to Tie the Fabbler

Producer: Fly Fish Food

The Blob Fly was originally tied by UK lake anglers a few decades ago. At some point, someone added a foam post to create the FAB (Foam-Assed Blob), which was more buoyant and stayed afloat longer. In this video, Cheech from Fly Fish Food makes another addition—a Muddler head of spun deer hair—and ends up with a Fabbler. In the tying process, he offers a few cool tricks, as well, such as using the thread to strip the end of the Cactus Chenille.
