How to Tie a He h’ATE Me Caddis

“In this video, I’m going to show you how to tie the “He h’ATE Me Caddis”…the “H” is silent lol! It’s a super simple, yet effective emerger pattern that was based off the ‘”Holy Grail” The grail is a great pattern but I wanted an unweighted version so I made a couple material changes. What I came up with, is a fly that is highly effective and super simple to make. This is definitely one of my “go-to” patterns on the White River but I fish it all year on of my road trips. It has caught trout in Wyoming, Colorado and the Driftless. My favorite method, seen in part 2 of the “White River” video from May 2020…link below…is as a dry/dropper! But I also fish it as a tandem behind a beadhead fly! Materials shown during the video!”
