Fly Fishing Wyoming’s Yellowstone River Tributary in August
“This trailer shows us fly fishing for trout on a small, less well known tributary of the very famous Yellowstone River. A little river but one that has Yellowstone Cutthroats of ample size. Right away when we got to the first hole there were fish rising to Mayflies. We used and Adams to tempt a few to the surface and hooked one really nice trout. After a productive and long hatch things slowed as the clouds moved in to cool everything down. We switched to nymphing for a bit and were rewarded with a truly remarkable Cutthroat for this size of river. We finished the day with another good Mayfly hatch. Wyoming has some beautiful areas for fly fishing and we thoroughly enjoyed out day her.”
