“Skagit, Scandi or Speycasting for steelhead on a favorite river with my son Charlie who did a great job with the camera. I used one of my own Jerry French Style, composite loop, Ostrich feather duster creations fishing light flows, cold water temps, type 3 15′ sinktip on a rio Skagit short shooting head. It old technology but fish dont care and it works and it videos well. My Anglers Roost thirteen and a half foot Euro Scandi Spey rod is a favorite and it launches like no other. Its a fast rod though and stiff for fighting fish which is not my ideal. I also sneaked in a cameo appearance by my new Galeforce 53 Equalizer. Its sweet.”
