What makes Christmas Islands so special besides the local culture being peaceful, friendly, great people is that it’s 200 square miles of flats fishing—unless you want to fish the same flat twice.  You’re learning new things, finding new areas, seeing different patterns and there’s 16 species to catch. This is a place you want to go.

“I’ve been doing this particular gig here for five years now and we’ve been fortunate enough to build a really good program. There’s 6,000 people living on the island. They made this beautiful little lodge here and they really cater to the fly fishermen. They take care of you here. You’ve got not just fishing inside on the flats, but also the backcountry. You can catch giant trevally and bonefish and triggerfish and double up on bones and GTs and sleep on the beach. It’s unbelievable .I think I’ve come here seven times a year now and every time I learned something new.  This is one of those places that we like people to go because we can bring all experience levels, and everybody should be able to have a great time.  And that’s just what we do—it’s just how we roll.”
