- Contrary to whipping up a dozen trout flies the night before a trip, a musky fly can take days to complete. Joe Cermele features the anglers who are dedicated to understanding this species and corresponding fly design in a recent article on Field & Stream. “Understanding the qualities that make these muskie flies productive can help you tie more effective streamers for any species,” he writes.
- Trout Unlimited recently launched its citizen-science project, TroutBlitz, which aims to help TU catalog the nation’s trout and salmon inventory through angler reports and photos. Chris Hunt explains more about the project in an article on Hatch Magazine.
