On Fishy Reputations

June 11, 2013 By: Erin Block

Reputations live on without us, and some attributes you cannot form or change once they are.  As Mike Benson reflects on a week in the Florida Everglades, he finds the one thing he’d like remembered once he’s six feet down: he was a fishy dude. Yet it “cannot be bought, or even acquired through practice and time on the water,” Benson writes. “You either are one, or you’re not, it’s just that simple.” Read the rest of Benson’s essay on Lowcountry Journal.
