Chris Currah, senior product manager of the Brunton Outdoor Group, talks to MidCurrent about the storied history of Brunton—how in 1894 they started making pocket transits and have now diversified into dozens of other products, like portable solar power packs that provide modern convenience to the traveling or back-country fly angler.
“One thing that comes to my mind when it comes to our smaller battery packs is that everybody has iPhones and cell phones these days, and my battery whenever I travel is always running out. And I travel a lot. So I always carry a Resync or Inspire battery pack. They’re USB devices. The Resync charges my iPad, it charges my iPod, and my cell phone—from when it’s dead I can plug it in and charge it right up and can start using like it was plugged into the wall….”
