Catskill Hall of Fame Inductees, Minnesota Deluge
- The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum has announced this year’s inductees to the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame to be honored at a ceremony to be held in the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012. The honorees include MidCurrent’s own editorial board member: author and scriptwriter Thomas McGuane.
- Recent storms around Duluth Minnesota have dumped up to 10 inches or more of rain onto the North Shore, where clay soils, unable to soak up the water, resulted in a rise of around 1,250 cfs to 6,000 cfs. What exactly this will mean for the steelhead population is unclear at this time, but as Department of Natural Resources Duluth Area fisheries supervisor Deserae Hendrickson says, “my guess is it won’t be positive.”
