- Atlantic Salmon Magic by Topher Brown (Wild River Press, 463 Pages) has been named the book of the year by Untied Fly Tyers.
- All of the streamers tied by Streamers365 in January are being auctioned off on eBay. Proceeds, after basic funding for online community The Streamer List, will be donated to a few worthy fly fishing-related charities.
- The 5th annual Wild Steelhead Festival will be held in Healdsburg, CA on February 10 – 12. It’s a fly fishing festival with a wine country twist, along with fly casting demonstrations and expert presentations.
- Kirk Deeter takes time to sit down with Pat Dorsey, author of Tying & Fishing Tailwater Flies, to talk tarpon and hook honing.
- Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources will be seeking angler input on some proposed regulations on size and bag limits for the pike.
