New Two-Handed Rod Series from Allen
Allen FlyFishing is launching a line of two-handed rods called the “Olympic Series” that ranges in price from $329-$349. That’s a great pricepoint for someone who wants to dabble/learn their way into Spey casting (or just carry another long rod) without forking out several hundred dollars or more.
But that’s not to suggest the rods come up short on performance. They’re built from quality graphite and components; most importantly the casting action allows the angler to feel the full load in the rod, without feeling any mush or sloppy side effects. It’s a true, responsive rod series for Skagit and or Scandi styles, and versatile enough for fishing floating lines to shooting heads and fast-sinking tips. As such, it’s a great all-around option for novices and experts alike.
