Idaho-based outfitter WorldCast Anglers has announced their upcoming “Fishtoberfest” photo and video contest. Entries can be a photo or short video celebrating fly fishing in the state of Wyoming or Idaho. The submission period is open now through October 2, 2016.

WorldCast Anglers Announces “Fishtoberfest” Photo and Video Contest

(Victor, Idaho) – WorldCast Anglers, the premier fly fishing outfitter in the Rocky Mountains, hosted destination travel provider and full service fly fishing retail location, is thrilled to announce their “Fishtoberfest” Photo and Video contest.

The “Fishtoberfest” Photo and Video Contest is a celebration of fly fishing in the greater Jackson Hole region through photo, film and culture. Presented by WorldCast Anglers, Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited and Teton Valley Trout Unlimited, this photo and video contest is an opportunity to share the importance, beauty and passion around fly fishing in our local area of Wyoming and Idaho. It is a reflection and reminder of the amazing places we fish and the relationships we build and love through the great sport of fly fishing.

The entry period is now open and closes on October 2nd at 11:59pm MST. This timeframe gives prospective entrants the entire summer and some of the fall to document their fly fishing experiences in either photo or video form. Entrants can submit photos (two categories available – “Landscape/Action or Fish Species/Features”) or a short video celebrating fly fishing in the state of Wyoming or Idaho. All entries must be submitted to [email protected] by 11:59pm MST on October 2nd, 2016. Online voting at WorldCastAnglers.com will open on October 7th, 2016 at 12:01am MST and close on October 20th, 2016 at 11:59pm MST for both photo categories and video category. Voting by angling peers and the public will determine the finalists and winners. The top 5 photos from each category and top 5 videos will be shown at the “Fishtoberfest” celebration on October27th, 2016 at the Q Roadhouse.
