Browns Canyon National Monument
President Obama has announced his decision to declare Browns Canyon a national monument. The new designation will add increased protection for approximately 21,000 acres around the Arkansas River. “Coloradans have been very clear they wanted this protection, along with assurances that existing uses will be protected.
