PTTS Sues Save the Tarpon

After Save the Tarpon began voicing concerns over practices taking place at the Professional Tarpon Tournament and called for boycotting of businesses that support the event, Silver King Entertainment, Inc. has filed a lawsuit as a result of lost sponsorships, entries, and other sources of revenue as a result.

It’s “an act of obvious desperation,” says Tom McLaughlin, chairman of Save The Tarpon, Inc.  McLaughlin promised that the group will continue to “aggressively defend the ability of our members and supporters to have their voices heard on this and any other issue that impacts the future of our fishery and our community.”
