The Coming Cicada Invasion
Cicadas are the sound of summer, as well as a unique hatch to fish on the fly. And once every 17 years, the annual “dog days” cicadas, as Dr. Matt Frye of Cornell University explains, are joined by periodical cicadas as well. This upcoming summer is the year the periodicals emerge, adding another voice to the chorus.
