Foraging, fishing, and eating local is the subject of Dylan Tomine’s newest book, “Closer to the Ground,” published by Patagonia Books in October 2012. And recently, Tomine sat down with Emily Brennan of The New York Times, talking about his new book as well as advice on how to combine traveling and eating wild foods around Puget Sound–including his choice spots for camping and oyster picking.
