Lizz Winstead on Fly Fishing
Comedian and the co-creator of “The Daily Show,” Lizz Winstead, wanted to do something special for her 50th. And at the invitation of a friend, she headed to the Naknek River in Alaska to learn how to fly fish. From bears and guns to her first catch, Winstead proves a keen observer. “Fly fishing, like dancing, is about patience,” she writes in her piece in the Wall Street Journal. “Practicing each step until the awkward lurching turns into a flow. I loved Alaska. It taught me that I don’t just love beer, I really love to fish.”
