Tippets: Jeremy Lin Scores a Red, Urban Wild, Why Wait for Skwalas?
- Jeremy Lin spent his All Star break doing some fishing on Florida’s Space Coast also known as the redfish capital of the world and thanks to Captain Pete Flaherty, hooked a nice red.
- Tom Ziemba was shocked to discover that the urban trickle behind his Ashland, Oregon home held an 18 1/2-inch adult steelhead. Officials are excited because the river, which is far from pristine, proves that even urban water is home to wild steelhead and salmon.
- A day spent on an empty river, hatch or no hatch, is a day to remember. Despite a slow morning and few risers, Rich Landers, outdoors editor for The Spokesman-Review, went to the Yakima River and did just fine.
