- Anglers that serve as their group’s fireside troubadour can enter for a chance to win free admission to Larry Keel’s Trout and Tunes. To win a free “epic weekend of fishing, picking and chilling,” participants should make a video of a song about why they are deserving.
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture funded the purchase of two conservation easements along the Green River. The easements will provide more public walk-in access to the Green River.
- Towns continue to roll out the red carpet for the 2012 Fly Fishing Film Tour. The Pasadena stop was exciting for Southern California filmmakers Sean and Dave Morris who are responsible for “Cast Alaska.” In South Dakota, residents look forward to the fresh perspective that the tour provides on a sport that is centuries old.
- Well-known Alaskan outdoorsman Howard Delo said good-bye to a dear friend recently. From duck hunting in Georgia to landing a very large rainbow on a four weight, his Old Town canoe he named “Peaceful Journey” lived a good life.
