Clear Creek Launches a New Line of Bags and Packs
Clear Creek Fishing Gear has come out with a full compendium of bags and packs suited to handle the gear needs of anglers in a variety of scenarios, from the airline overhead compartment to the deck of a drift boat or skiff.
That starts with the “Rum City Rod Carrier,” a rigid carry-on that can handle at least six fly rods (in socks) as well as reels in its main compartment. Exterior pockets are good for holding passports, tickets, car keys and other valuables you want to access easily. It comes with a shoulder strap that makes running through the airport easy. MSRP $139
Another travel/transport option is the “Half Hitch Water Duffel,” which has a ventilated storage compartment for packing wet items like boots, waders, and jackets. It’s a tough bag with reinforced handles and seams, and it features 5,000 cubic inches of space. MSRP $139
The “Still River Kit Bag” is a multi-purpose option with 2,000 cubic inches of space, zippered pockets and internal compartments with dividers. It’s a solid weekend getaway choice, or a home base for gear in your vehicle. MSRP $119
The “Water Dog Boat Bag” has a waterproof bottom, rainproof fly, and an overhanging lip closure, all (naturally) intended to keep your gear dry, on the water and in the elements. It’s also very durable, yet lightweight. MSRP $149
Finally, for carrying the essentials right on your body as you fish, Clear Creek introduced a “Spite Hill Guide Pack” that can be worn as a lumbar pack or a sling. It’s light and comfortable, and has just enough pockets/compartments to keep you organized, without so much detail that you have to shuffle around to find things. MSRP $99
