Project Healing Waters Chairman Among L.L. Bean “Outdoor Heroes”

Douglas Dear, whose tireless work for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing has helped earn the organization huge national recognition, is one of the winners of L.L. Bean’s 2011 Outdoor Heroes Awards.  The vote, which took place over the last several weeks, recognized Dear as “an advocate for the healing effects of fly fishing on wounded soldiers” and someone who has dedicated himself to outdoor conservation and education.
