Mondo Fish
Giant brown trout, willow-choked runs, and a Jetta pulling a raft down the interstate: Kirk Deeter, Andrew Steketee, and photographer Liz Steketee profile veteran Montana fly fishing guide Tim Mosolf from Montana’s Beaverhead River in an excerpt from Castwork: Reflections of Fly Fishing Guides and the American West. “Big ol’ brown trout came up and ate him whole,” describes Tim. “I could see the giant black spots on the fish’s back when he came up and hit the snake. There wasn’t much left but a bunch of bubbles.”
