Deeter: “Roadless Areas Are Essential to Fly Fishing”
Noting that the public has two days to offer their comments to the United States Department of Agriculture before it decides on the future of Colorado’s roadless areas, Kirk Deeter suggests checking out Colorado TU’s action page on the Web.
“More than 70 percent of Colorado River Cutthroat trout habitat is in roadless areas. Build roads in these areas, and the elk migrations are hindered, the mule deer populations suffer, and the trout spawning habitat is negatively impacted.” From Fly Talk.
