Orvis Expands Successful “Fly Fishing 101” Program

After introducing more than 5,000 students to the sport via free fly fishing classes in 2010, Orvis will expand the number of dates and classes this year, even adding a “Fly Fishing 201” program for those who attended the 101 program last year. The Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF) will join in to offer additional instructor volunteers for this year’s events.

The events this year will kick off in May 2011, with the goal of putting over 10,000 students through classes in Orvis retail stores and dealers.
