Vandals Kill 15,000 Trout at New Hampshire Hatchery
“They were babies, just 3-month-old fingerlings destined to swim in rivers and streams across the state. But last Saturday, around 2:30 p.m., their young lives were cut short by a vandal’s flick of a switch inside a pumping station.” Hattie Bernstein says it took hatchery employees hours to clean out the 15,000 fish killed in last Saturday’s vandalism at the Milford Fish Hatchery.
