Trout Study Volunteer Dies After Rattlesnake Bite

A fly fisher participating in a study of native steelhead trout species died after being bitten by a large rattlesnake Wednesday.
“William ‘Skip’ Price, reportedly an avid fly fisherman, was wearing water sandals when he was bitten on one foot by the rattler along Boulder Creek, said Gary Strawn, of Santee.
