Utah Man Catches 24 of State's Fish on Fly
It may not sound like much in comparison to Steve Wozniak‘s 1,000 species of fish, but just try catching 24 different fish on fly, in in one state, and (mostly) from a kick-boat. Brett Prettyman tells the story of Brent Stout, who reached his long-awaited goal on September 18.
“When the striper hit his wiggle bug fly pattern about 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 18, Stout achieved a goal he set more than seven years ago: to catch two dozen sport fish from Utah waters. That would have been impressive enough, but Stout was coming from the die-hard world of fly fishing and figured it would be more impressive to land them all on a fly rod.” In the Salt Lake Tribune.
