Video Hatch: Fly Fishing Jazz
One of the chapters of the book I hope to (one day) write about sight-fishing will be called “Fly Fishing Jazz.” I won’t give away the whole message, but the basic idea is to become so comfortable in what you are doing that improvisation comes naturally.
We ran across this video by the Tightlines Jazz Quartet — whose every member is a fly fisher — and thought their take on why fly fishing and jazz belong together was well stated: “What combines jazz and fly fishing is that you never entirely succeed. You only get small glimpses of magic.”
