California Bans Salmon Fishing on Central Valley Rivers

Yesterday California’s Fish and Game Commission banned salmon fishing on most of the Sacramento, and on all of the San Joaquin and American rivers. The action follows similar moves by California and Oregon last month to close commercial salmon fishing in ocean waters. “The only exception to the salmon ban will be along a stretch of the Sacramento River from Red Bluff to Knights Landing.
