As this fine profile in Oregon’s Register-Guard points out, Loomis is one of the few private conservationist-sportsmen to fully dedicate himself to salmon protection on a large scale, whether that involves hand-carrying salmon carcasses to feed hungry smolt or pressing the flesh to invite involvement in fisheries protection groups.
