Spring Ridge Club's Donny Beaver: "I'm a Realist"
Donny Beaver says he is unfairly portrayed as a greedy entrepreneur who wants to lock the public out of prime Pennsyvlania fishing waters. He says nothing could be farther from the truth. But it does sound like he will be appealing the recent court decision that ruled the Spring Ridge Club could not prevent anglers from fishing the Little Juniata where it is bordered by Club land. “‘Here’s what’s going to happen in the next 20 years: somebody without an interest in conservation and fishing is going to get these properties and none of us will be able to get on it. It’s coming. It’s not a matter of “if.” Fishermen and the state need to get on this now.'” John Hayes in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
