Fly Fishing People: Maggie Merriman
Keith Lair profiles Maggie Merriman, who is achieving much more deserved recognition at age 70 than she did when she started teaching fly fishing 35 years ago. “‘The people in the industry are good people. In 1954, when I was at Pasadena High School, there were no women fishing. My mom fished and she was a rarity. In my grandmother’s time, no woman fished.'”
Back in August, we also noted Dave Strege’s profile of Maggie Merriman, which mentions her contributions to women in the FFF.
