Tying the Moto’s Minnow
Tim Flagler ties a Moto’s Minnow on a Dai-Riki #700 size 10 hook. He uses 12 wraps of .02 lead-free wire to help the fly get down quickly, and the brass conehead adds to the pattern’s heft and flash.
Moto’s Minnow was authored in the mid-1990s by Moto Nakamura, who designed it as a sculpin imitation for the freestone rivers of the White Mountains and Appalachians.
