New Book: “A Fly Rod in My Sea Bag”
Joel G. Stewart’s new book, A Fly Rod In My Sea Bag: Fishing Adventures in Baghdad During Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2005-2011 (Whitefish Press, December 2011, softcover, 210 pages) chronicles the former naval commander’s experiences as a man with a fly rod in war-torn Iraq. Stewart achieved notoriety as the founder of the Baghdad Anglers Club and School of Fly Fishing, which provided US and British servicemen a chance to escape the rigors of duty for a few hours with rod and reel.
