Conway Bowman to Host “Fly Fishing the World”

Conway Bowman is the new host of The Sportsman’s Channel‘s “Fly Fishing the World,” a popular exploration of fly fishing around the globe and one of the longest-running outdoor programs on television.

Bowman, whose home base is San Diego, where he fly rods for blue water species on the fly, has been host of ESPN’s “In Search of Fly Water” and “Primal Predator” and Versus’s “Dollar Wise Fly.” He is also the author of the newly released book “The Orvis Guide to Beginning Saltwater Fly Fishing: 101 Tips for the Absolute Beginner.”  He is an avid advocate for shark conservation and aids researchers by raising funds for research tagging Shortfin Mako sharks off Southern California through his annual Flying Mako Charity Tournament.   Follow him on Twitter: @conwaybowman.

    I have watched Conway on tv and had the opportunity to meet him in person in Arkansas in 2010. He is a great guy and very personable. He is knowledgeable and loves to teach others. He will be a great host for “Fly Fishing the World”.
